Brief description: "Birds in the Ground" is the sole album by Eiafuawn, a project by Duster’s Clay Parton. Eiafuawn stands for, "everything is all fucked up and what not", which is quite a clever band name. It was released in 2006. It offers a more intimate and acoustic take on the melancholic tones Parton is known for. The album’s stripped-down instrumentation, paired with its raw, heartfelt lyrics, creates a deeply personal listening experience. Tracks like “The Voice of Music” and “No More Like That” explore themes of love, longing, and self-reflection, resonating with fans of lo-fi and indie rock. One interesting thing about this album is that it was recorded primarily at home during late-night sessions, giving it a deeply unpolished and authentic feel.

Personal note:

I had started listening to this band before I knew it was a side project of Clay's. When I found out it was him it all started to click! My favorite song off of this album is, "The Coffin Was So Light I Thought It Might Float Away".
